The word ‘accomplishment’ is a noun that means ‘something that has been successfully achieved’. Other words that mean the same thing as ‘accomplishment’ are ‘achievement’, ‘performance’, ‘exploit’, ‘triumph’, and ‘act’. Words that mean the opposite of ‘accomplishment’ are ‘failure’, ‘ignorance’, and ‘incompetence’. When we feel accomplished in something, it feels very good doesn’t it? But why does feeling accomplished give us such a positive feeling? I’m leaving this question open for you guys to answer. I’m curious to know what you guys think. Also, what things have you guys accomplished recently that you feel really proud of? Something that I have accomplished recently that I’m proud of is having the best grade in math that I’ve had in all of highschool! I’m hoping that I can keep it up just a little while longer until June when I graduate!
So, the questions for you are:
    1. Why does accomplishing something make us happy?
    2. What is something you have recently accomplished that you are proud of?

    • Congratulation on your best grade in math. It was never my strong suit! I am sure you will keep up the good grades and graduate this June, Hang in there and keep your focus on graduating. I really admire your profound thoughts at such a young age. I never had any such profound thoughts until many decades later!
I think an accomplishment improves your spirit and mental state. I just feels good! It shows us that we are capable, even though some people may tell us otherwise. It also encourages us to do more to see what we can accomplish!
What I have accomplished lately is starting to play the accordion, even though I am a just a struggling student, I am playing the accordion. Something I have wanted to do since I was 8 years old and saw my cousins playing jingle bells on the accordion. It just took me many decades to get there but I still accomplished a life long goal. I am very proud that I am finally playing the accordion!

      • Thank you for sharing! I agree with your thoughts on why achieving something makes us feel so good! Good luck on your accordion journey! 🙂
