Description
Acquarelli Italiani composed by Renzo Ruggieri (2003) for accordion and symphony orchestra, later adapted for solo accordion. It is a tribute to “Aquarelli Cubani” composed by the genius Luciano Fancelli. Acquarelli Italiani is a similar operation but based on the rhythm of “tarantella”. The arrangement is quite difficult (also contains a transcribed improvisation) and is often used in international competitions and concerts by the brilliant repertoire. RECENTLY UPDATED: This arrangement now has an accordion orchestra version included.
Renzo Ruggieri has performed all over the world to great acclaim. He specialized in jazz piano under Franco D’Andrea and since, has recorded numerous CD’s as both leader and session player. Much of his music been published and he has written teaching methods for important publishing houses. He is the leading exponent of Italian Jazz in formations that range from a DUO to the RENZO RUGGIERI ORCHESTRA.
